Behind every Sapporo brew and manga illustration is a shared dedication to craftsmanship, quality and mastery. As Sapporo celebrates 150 years as Japan’s iconic first beer, Carlsberg Malaysia brings the spirit of Japanese artistry to life through manga-inspired limited-edition cans and immersive lifestyle experiences—honouring Sapporo’s brewing legacy since 1876.May be an image of beer and text that says '150th ANNIVERSARY SAPPORO PREMIUM BEER 미광방 SCAN TO DISCOVER THELEGACY! At the heart of the celebration is a limited-edition can created in collaboration with renowned Japanese manga artist Hiroki Ishizawa. Featuring Sapporo’s founder, Seibei Nakagawa, the design reflects the discipline, precision and pursuit of quality that define Japanese craftsmanship. His adventurous spirit, resilience and mastery of the brewing craft laid the foundation for an extraordinary beer. Through bold manga-inspired illustrations, the limited-edition cans bring Sapporo’s 150-year journey to life as a collectible tribute to Japanese craft, culture and creativity.

Consumers can now explore Sapporo’s remarkable 150-year legacy at their fingertips through a dedicated manga-inspired anniversary experience that brings the brand’s story to life. Discover the digital journey of Japan’s iconic first beer at https://www.sapporobreweries.com/brands/spb/150th/en/

“In Malaysia, consumers are increasingly drawn to premium brands that offer more than quality alone — brands with a strong identity, authentic story and experiences that feel meaningful. The Sapporo limited-edition brings the brand’s story to life for consumers here, honouring its heritage as the iconic first beer of Japan while strengthening its relevance with discerning beer consumers," said Stefano Clini, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia.

While the anniversary honours Sapporo’s rich heritage, it also invites consumers to experience Japanese craftsmanship in a uniquely Sapporo way. By visiting https://www.sapporobeermy.com/, consumers can upload a photo and see themselves reimagined as manga characters inspired by Japanese illustration styles.
